HEALTHPARK HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES INTERIM CEO
DOUG PARKER
Jeffrey Herrold, M.D., president of HealthPark Hospital board of directors, has announced that Douglas Parker has been named interim chief executive officer. Mr. Parker has extensive experience at this level of leadership most recently in such hospitals as LifeCare Hospital of Shreveport in Louisiana and St. Vincent’s Health System of Little Rock, AR.
“We are so proud to be able to bring Doug on board. We believe that his experience leading hospitals to such exceptional levels will serve us well at HealthPark”, stated Dr. Herrold.
Upon completing his responsibilities at LifeCare Hospital in Shreveport, Mr. Parker and his wife Betty decided to retire to Hot Springs. He and Betty have been married for 38 years and have two children, Jason who lives in Atlanta and Jamie who resides in Little Rock, and they also have 3 grandchildren.
Doug received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Henderson State University and a master’s of science in management from Ball State University in Indiana. He is also a retired captain of the United States Armed Forces, Army Division.
HealthPark Hospital began their search for an interim leader in response to the recent resignation of Jason Spring who will be relocating to Whitefish, MT to serve in a similar capacity. Spring will be beginning his new role on March 9th.
